Act Standard Lease Agreement
The lessor must keep a copy of a written agreement and any changes on paper or electronic form at least two years after the end of the lease. It is important to note that a lease can be written orally or a combination of the two. There is no minimum or maximum duration of the agreement under the ACT Act. However, if you are renting a leave, you should not be on a rental agreement. The landlord must provide the tenant with a copy of the amended contract and keep one for their documents. At the end of the term of a fixed-term lease, landlords and tenants may accept another limited term or the lease continues from month to month. The rent can only be increased between fixed-term tenancy agreements with the same tenant if the conditions of termination and time for rent increases are met, if a tenant rents the finished house himself – then the standard tenancy agreement applies.
